I THROW MY BODY INTO THE FIGHT. A multimedia stage experience about the life and death of Pier Paolo Pasolini

To mark the 50th anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini's death, this extraordinary stage project is dedicated to the multifaceted life and work of the universal artist, provocateur and outsider. I THROW MY BODY INTO THE FIGHT takes the audience on an intense journey through Pasolini's biography, his visions, his struggles - and his last day before he was murdered in Ostia.

The film is told from two different perspectives: the biographer, who traces Pasolini's eventful life and his struggles against marginalisation and social norms, and the reporter, who vividly reconstructs the last hours of his life. This is complemented by Pasolini's own texts and poems, which bring his keen powers of observation and uncompromising thinking to life.

A three-piece band accompanies the reading with live music and sounds that bring Pasolini's world musically to life. Associative images on a cinema screen create an additional visual level that gives the audience room for their own interpretations and intensifies the atmosphere of the evening.

I THROW MY BODY INTO THE FIGHT is a multimedia experience that not only celebrates Pasolini's life, but also reflects on his artistic and political significance. An evening full of poetry, music and images that breaks down the boundaries between art forms and touches the audience deeply.
