Actually already finished since a while, our short film "Karl" waited a long time for the right moment for an appropriate premiere. The Emperor of Atlantis or the refusal to die: A chamber opera by Peter Kien and Viktor Ullmann was composed in 1943/44 in the Theresienstadt concentration camp. Under the direction of Kristina Förtsch, a documentary about the creation of this extraordinary opera was produced which has been performed in Ludwigshafen in December 2018. Finally the time has come: Hiwwe wie Driwwe is finished and comes to the cinemas. The festive premiere took place on 13 April 2019 at the Universum-Kinocenter in Landau.
